After noticing our AC working extra hard this summer we decided to update our insulation. Checking out American Insulation's great reviews and great summer deal we went with them. Mary was very helpful in explaining the ratings and the types of insulation they offer. The summer special was blown in insulation R38 for $0.99 per square feet and It's eco friendly! With only a 50 Dollar deposit we set the appointment for a few days later. It sounded too good to be true but it wasn't. The guys showed up on time just as promised, even with a text message saying they are in route. Time frame was also accurate 8am-10am. Everything flowed like they have done this a million times. I got to see some before and after pics which they also sent them to my phone for my own records. Iwould highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do work in any one of the services they provide.
I called American Insulation for a quote and was greeted by Mary. She was very knowledgeable and professional during our conversation while providing me with the quotes for the work I wanted done. I agreed to hire American Insulation to remove the old insulation I had in my home and install new insulation R-38. Mary told me in order to lock in the summer pricing I would have to give a $200 dollar deposit which I did. On the day of the removal two younger workers showed up. I greeted them and showed them where my attic access was located. After the remove of the insulation. I did a walk through of my home and notice damage to my drywall. I was never advised of the damage by the workers. They were going to leave without addressing their damage if I didn't bring it to their attention after I contact Mary immediately once I dissolved the damage. I was told not to worry about it. They have professionals to do repairs like that. So I was told on Sunday, when the worker comes to install the new insulation my damage drywall would be repaired. Sunday came and the same guy that damage the drywall, made excuses on how we wasn't able to get a drywall repair person and I should just keep $300 buckets for the drywall damage cost in case they don't show up to repair the drywall. I immediately call Mary but I did not get any response so I sent an text. In the text message, I detailed my disappointment in their company and service provided. I was sent a reply informing me that everything would be taken care of when she got back to the office. After the installation of the new insualtion, I advised the work I was not paying until my drywall damage was repaired. The same day David the owner called advising me he would take care of the situation including the insulation barrier I was suppose to get for me attic ladder that I never got. So today, the same worker that caused the damage shows up with another gentleman to repair the drywall. Not once did any supervisor or owner from this company came out to ensure the matter was addressed properly. After about 3-5 hours of this gentleman trying to repair my drywall, it wasn't to par with a professional drywall person. I advised my friends and family that were going to hired American Insulation to cancel their projects. Today I have a new company here JMS construction group showing me all the spots that weren't properly insulated my American Insulation. The R-38 isn't close to the level it should be properly keep my home cool. I called JMS construction group after two days of feeling warm spots through out my home. Their crew walking me through all he areas not properly insulated. Beware of this company. They joined the list of South Florida scammer companies taking hard earn money from consumers without provided the proper service. After speaking with David the owner on the phone. I was reimburse for the damage drywall. I hired my own drywall person to fix the damages. David made sure I received my refund immediately while on the phone with him. The damages are taken care of and my ceiling looks great. I told David next time he needs to respond to project location after he is aware of a situation like this or to have a professional drywall person on his payroll.
Just a fee companies have 5 stars in all reviews...in two different platforms...Yelp and Google. Because of that I tried them....they've earned those stars...professionals, reliables....you deal directly with the owner, not a middle man, even when he is not the one doing the job. There's more than a few people that need to learn from him.
I read the reviews about the company and how Sarah M. said it was too good to be true. I called the company and spoke with the owner, who picked up the phone immediately. Within minutes I had an agreement on a price and was scheduled for the next day. The men they sent were on time, kind, and accommodating. I went into the attic with Carlos, and I watched him spray the insulation without missing a spot. He went under the floorboards to make sure the job was done well. Before I knew it, they were done. I could not be happier, and I guess you could say, "I was blown away" with the complete experience. I wish all companies would operate the way American Insulation does.
Overall a really Great Service from David and the Guys at American Insulation. I got 3 quotes and they came in at best rate But unlike others they were super knowledgeable and explained all aspects clearly when we discussed options. On time for appointment, They did a great job and were really nice installers true professionals. Called them back talking to really nice lady as had issue with AC differential in one room after installing new ac system and they came back and blew more insulation in at No Charge!!!! Strongly recommend these guys! 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up!!!!
Top to bottom this company has their priorities in order. Beginning with David the owner who graciously answered all my questions with insight and understanding. Also the technicians were very professional. Juan and Hector arrived on time and were extremely courteous. Juan also answered several questions I had before starting the project. They were efficient and finished the job quickly. I Highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to install insulation in their home.
After seeing the great reviews decided to give American Insulation a call. Got a good quote and proceeded. On the day scheduled, crew showed up and were done in a little over an hour. Very happy with results and clean up. Pictures are before and after. Now ready for Florida summer and suspect my A/C won't have to work so hard.
Incredibly professional, friendly, and - ON TIME! David is awesome. Called him and he scheduled to do my insulation SAME DAY. He personally supervised his crew, who was also professional and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job - I climbed up to the attic with them to look before and after the job was done. They also offered recommendations for additional services in a way that was educational and not pushy. Highly recommend!
I am really impressed by American Insulation. I contacted David and he responded immediately with a very fair and honest estimate . His company was there the same day to insulate my attic. They were professional and clean. It's been a few days and we can really feel a difference in our home. Today they came to insulate my crawl space with spray foam. Again, super professional and clean. I can already feel a difference in the humidity levels in my home. David followed up both times and made sure we were satisfied. I highly recommend this company!

Wet insulation can cause mold. The process of removing insulation starts our team creating a tunnel made by plastic that carefully seals the living space leading
to attic access, preventing contamination.
We put paper on the floors to prevent unnecessary marks or damages. Inside the tunnel we run the tube of the extremely strong
and powerful vacuum machine that stays outside the house. Inside the attic the crew carefully removes all of the insulation, placing it in in special insulation removal
bags and disposes of it properly. This process can take up to four hours for an attic space of approximately 1000 sq ft.
Although customers do not need to leave the house, it is recommended to do so because this process can be noisy.

DSV is a broad spectrum disinfectant, sanitizer, virucide, mildewstat, fungicide product, all in one package.
It kills 31 strains of bacteria and 19 different viruses. This multipurpose solution used against disease-causing bacteria and is highly effective for sanitation.
We install two different typed of insulation described below,
Banket: batts, and rolls. This is insulation that comes in two different types of materials including fiberglass, or minerals (Rock Wool or Denim).
It is either 16 or 24 inches wide. It is fitted between studs, joists and beams in unfinished walls, attics and/or craw spaces.
Blown-in and loose-fill insulation. This type of insulation comes as either cellulose or fiberglass. We apply this insulation only in the attic. Before installing blown-in insulation in the attic,
we cap all recessed lighting and install baffles next to soffit vents which prevent them from becoming obstructed by insulation and helps reduce wind washing by directing air flow away from the insulation.
For all insulation needs we use sustainable insulation by CertainTeed (except cellulose insulation). For cellulose insulation we use Greenfiber, which is an economical blend of recycled newspaper that has been treated for harsh climates.
R-value is the measure of the insulation’s ability to resist heat. A higher R-value means a better thermal performance of the insulation.
Spray-in is more expensive and more efficient. As the spray expands, it covers every nook & cranny that sometimes fiberglass doesn't. Existing homes can be sprayed-in as well, but they must meet certain conditions. Call us now to find out if yours qualify.
